Tesamorelin is a peptide that stimulates growth hormone release. It is composed of all 44 amino acids found in human growth hormone-releasing hormone, with the addition of a hexenoic acid group, which helps prevent its breakdown.

 

Tesamorelin triggers the release of growth hormone by activating the ghrelin receptor in the brain. By stimulating this receptor and boosting the growth hormone levels in the body, it can influence food consumption and energy metabolism, as well as affect glucose and fat metabolism.

 

This peptide prompts the secretion of the entire array of growth hormone peptides usually released by the pituitary gland. These hormones support increases in bone density and collagen production, enhance the immune system, and promote the development of lean muscle mass. The release of growth hormone also facilitates fat and weight reduction and promotes anabolic actions through fat breakdown induced by growth hormone.

 

The estimated half-life of Tesamorelin ranges from 26 to 38 minutes; however, its efficacy in stimulating growth hormone secretion has been clearly established after two weeks of daily administration. For promoting fat loss and muscle growth, tesamorelin should be given via subcutaneous injection at a dosage of 2 mg after reconstitution in BAC water. For cognitive enhancements, a dosage of 1 mg per day is recommended. The treatment protocol should consist of two weeks on, followed by two weeks off.

 

Administration of Tesamorelin has been shown to be well tolerated, with no significant adverse events reported.
